Re: Skipper Nolan thrilled to be back
Message to the squad: how to become a hero with the Upton Park faithful - do us all a favour and break Nolan's leg on the training pitch tomorrow.

Not a full scale Shaun Wright-Phillips/Dean Ashton job, just a decent clean break that takes him out for the rest of the season.

Job done.

Re: Skipper Nolan thrilled to be back
Letting Nolan walk back into the side could have disastrous consequences. We are on a good run now. I hope even Allardyce is wise enough not to tinker with the formation too much now.

IF Nolan got back into the starting eleven and we started losing again, people would obviously (fairly or unfairly) attribute this dip in form to Nolan being in the team again.

That'd be a very risky move for Allardyce indeed.
If he tried and it went wrong, it could well backfire for him and earn him the sack.

Great news obviously Downing will have to make way as its the only logical option .

Re: Skipper Nolan thrilled to be back
I really would love Sam to prove me wrong on this.. but I also can see Nolan walking (slowly, with lack of pace and in an immobile manner, of course) straight back in to the team.

No doubt he will be back in the starting line up for the City game.... just to fuck everything up.

I reckon the cunt starts as soon as he's fit enough.

It's not that Bywater, Volley son.

I see the old Nolan/Cole partnership was given another start.

No wonder we fucking lost.

Cheers
Its very West Ham for Nolan's 6 week injury to take longer than Kouyate's 6 week injury.

Re: Skipper Nolan thrilled to be back
I see there was a behind closed doors game against Norwich a few days which mentioned Nolan playing.

Any more details on this?
Am hoping Kouyate might have featured

Nice to have him back fighting for a place in the squad.

Competition is good.

Welcome back, Skipper SON.

Re: Skipper Nolan thrilled to be back
I have no problem with Nolan being an impact sub, and can even remain club captain.

I just don't want him starting, he ruins the whole setup.

Honest Hammer 2:04 Mon Oct 13
Re: Skipper Nolan thrilled to be back
If we use him as an impact sub then he will continue to score goals and be positive for the team.

If he starts we're going to fall down the table and there will be uproar as Downing has been a revelation in that position.

Re: Skipper Nolan thrilled to be back
Can't wait to get the Nolan-Carroll juggernaut back in action, terrorising the forward lines of opposing teams by giving them the ball and encouraging them to attack. A truly life changing football watching experience ...One never to be repeated (please).

VOLLEY... I have a lot of blubber and trapped win to get through... the bigger variety of sword will be suffice...

If it was any player who we actually cared about (ie: was any good) he'd not only not recover ahead of schedule but be out longer than anticipated.

Sold you are meant to use the shorter blade the tanto for those kinds of things, just think of how sad the black lab would be though - who will take him for walks?
